Scrubbing a kitchen worktop and seal during a deep clean

interior cleaning

Deep cleaning

The full reset. Not a regular clean done slowly, a different job with a different standard.

Home/Services/Interior/Deep cleaning

There are a handful of moments where a property needs taking back to zero. A tenancy ending and a deposit riding on it. A sale, where the first viewing decides the price. The week after the builders leave, when there is fine dust on every horizontal surface in the house and inside every cupboard. The end of a letting season, or the start of one. In each case the job is not more of what a regular cleaner does. It is a different job.

A deep clean goes into the places a weekly clean never touches, because a weekly clean is not supposed to touch them. Inside the oven and behind it. Inside the cupboards, not just the fronts. The extractor. The limescale that has been building on the shower screen since the last tenant. Skirting boards, door frames, switches, the tops of doors, the light fittings, the inside of the windows and the tracks they sit in. It takes a crew and it takes most of a day.

how we do it

Our process, step by step

  1. Walk it with you and agree the list

We go through the property, room by room, and agree exactly what is in and what is out before anyone quotes anything. If you are cleaning to a specific standard, an agent's check out list or an inventory, we work to that document.

  2. Top down, back to front

There is an order to a deep clean and getting it wrong means cleaning the same surface twice. High level and dust first, floors last, and we work back towards the door so nothing gets walked over after it is done.

  3. The kitchen taken apart

Inside and behind the appliances, the oven, the extractor and its filters, inside every cupboard and drawer, the tops of the units, and the seals and the grout. The kitchen is usually half the job and the whole reason people book one.

  4. Bathrooms descaled properly

Hard water here is relentless. Screens, tiles, taps, shower heads, seals and grout get descaled rather than wiped, which is slower and is the difference between a bathroom that looks clean and one that looks new.

  5. Inside everything, and the detail

Wardrobes, cupboards, skirting boards, door frames, switches and sockets, light fittings, fans, vents, radiators, window glass inside and the tracks. This is the part that separates a deep clean from an expensive normal clean.

  6. Checked room by room before we leave

Someone who did not clean the room signs it off against the list we agreed. If it is not right we put it right then, rather than after you have found it.

what is included

What you get in the price

A deep clean is not a repair, and we will not pretend it is

There is a point where a surface stops being dirty and starts being damaged. Limescale that has etched into glass has taken material off the surface and no descaling brings that back. Silicone that has gone black has mould growing inside it and needs replacing, not cleaning. Grout that has broken down, a scorched worktop, a shower tray that has crazed: we will get all of it as clean as it will go, and then tell you plainly what needs replacing.

We will also not promise you that a deep clean passes somebody else's inspection. We clean to the standard on the list we agreed with you, we photograph anything we could not fix, and we hand you that list. What an agent or a landlord then decides is theirs to decide, and any company guaranteeing you the outcome of an inspection they are not conducting is guaranteeing something they do not control.

how we keep the standard

Why the job comes back right

Signed off before we leave

Every job is checked against the standard for that surface before the van moves, by someone who did not do the cleaning. If it is not right we put it right before you have to ask.

Fixed quote from a real survey

We look at the property, then give you a price. What we agree at the survey is what you pay, with no extras invented once we are on site.

English-speaking crew

You can explain what you want and be understood, and we follow up afterwards to check you are happy. Not a sales call.

where we work

Across the Golden Triangle

We cover Quinta do Lago · Vale do Lobo · Vilamoura · Almancil · Loulé · Quarteira · Faro · Albufeira · Carvoeiro, and the surrounding area. If you are just outside it, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can look after you properly.

questions

Deep cleaning, answered

What is the difference between this and a regular clean?

A regular clean maintains a property that is already up to standard: surfaces, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, the things that need doing every week. A deep clean resets a property that is not up to standard, and gets inside the oven, the cupboards, the extractor, the grout and everywhere else a weekly visit is never scheduled to reach. Different scope, different time, different price.

Will it pass a check out inspection?

We clean to whatever list you give us, an agent's check out sheet or an inventory included, and we go through it with you at the survey. We photograph anything that turned out to be damage rather than dirt so you have it in writing. We cannot guarantee the outcome of an inspection carried out by somebody else, and we would be careful with anyone who says they can.

How long does it take?

Most properties are a full day with a crew, and a large villa or anything after building work can be two. We give you the time at the survey along with the price, because a deep clean quoted by the hour with no view of the property is a number picked out of the air.

Do you bring everything with you?

Yes. Products, cloths and the kit for every part of the job, so nothing depends on what happens to be under the sink. If the property has no water or no power we need to know beforehand, because that changes what is possible.

Can you do it between guests?

Yes, and for a holiday let a deep clean once or twice a season alongside the normal changeovers is usually the right pattern. It also pairs with the carpets, mattresses and soft furnishings in the same visit, which is cheaper than booking them separately.
